I mostly work with oil paint on paper, canvas or board, exploring minimalism and abstraction. I don’t usually map out my paintings ahead of time; working instead spontaneously and experimentally. I'm interested in experimenting with controlling the application of paint on the one hand and balancing this with allowing the paint to end up where it wants to be. Intentional vs accidental.

Originally from San Francisco, California I relocated to London in 2008 and had a career as a Landscape Architect. I've not pursued a formal art education, but recently decided to focus on developing my painting practice which landed me at Turp Art School where I’m currently enrolled and have been since Autumn 2022.
