Jo Barker Ceramics
Jo Barker is a Ceramic Artist based in Lewisham, and specialises in hand built decorative and sculptural pieces, favouring porcelain and Parian clays. Jo’s background in Theatre Costume influences the process of breaking down the medium and manipulating ribbons of clay to explore form and the qualities of the material.
Jo has been a member of The Kiln Rooms in Peckham since 2018. After exhibiting at the Trail in 2020, Jo secured Arts Council England funding to develop her creative practice and expand her skills as a designer and maker. The 2021 Trail will mark the halfway point through this period of development.
