My landscape paintings are inspired by the local landscape and beyond, and I prefer the energy of working on location rather than being in a studio. When painting en plein air, in addition to being outside with inspiring views, I always end up having nice chats with inquisitive passers-by. I’m currently completing a sketch diary of 2024 – every day I paint something I’ve seen or somewhere I’ve been. You can see some of my diary entries at Instagram.com/robgthom.
