One of the least competent, most charmless potters in Lewisham, ‘MJ’ makes work which is characterised by ‘digression, texture, and weirdness’. He often writes on his pots, repeatedly quoting the same three or four books (usually ones by Herman Melville or Lars Iyer). Sometimes, for a change, he steals other people’s ideas and executes them so shoddily that there is no risk at all of them being recognised as the copies they are. He rarely updates his website, and his instagram feed is abominable. Visit him for odd but reasonably priced mugs, cups, jugs, vases.
